YPFuture’s mission is to establish and grow a robust, sustainable, and supportive community whose contributions ensure the future of The Blank Theatre’s Young Playwrights Festival.
YPFuture is a member community passionate about investing in the future of theatre.
Over the last 30 years, The Blank Theatre’s Young Playwrights Festival has produced 381 plays by young writers ages 9 to 19 selected from over 5,000 nationwide submissions.
THE YPFUTURE VISION
Our vision is to create a cohesive, focused network which can help us sustain and expand the Festival. For example, we want to offer financial support to winners to allow them to travel to Los Angeles to participate in the rehearsal and performance process. We also want to expand the Festival’s reach to include local/regional competitions, international submissions, educational and mentoring outreach, and alumni and community collaboration.
The Blank is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization.
